Assistant Director of Student Life – Student Development

Student Development is seeking an energetic higher education individual committed to student learning and development to serve as the Assistant Director of Student Life overseeing two key areas of student life - the new student and transfer orientation program and the leadership development program.  Orientation is a dynamic and diverse program, run by upper class students. It is held prior to the start of classes and is designed to introduce new students to the mission, values, and day-to-day life at Rockhurst.  In addition to overseeing orientation, this individual will enhance current leadership development opportunities and will play a key role in creating a new student leadership development curriculum.  Additional responsibilities will include: organizing and coordinating Family Weekend as well as other student events; facilitating and/or coordinating alcohol, drug and other health education events; monitoring student activity facilities and ensuring needs are met. Assistant Director Residence Life - Student Development

Residence Life is seeking a motivated and excited higher education professional to fill this position.  This position will have responsibility for the day to day management of the University judicial process including proactive code of conduct education, and advising the university hearing board.  The Assistant Director will also support Residence Life functions such as staff selection, training, and supervision.  The incumbent will coordinate and implement the day-to-day operations of Conference Services to include negotiating contracts, scheduling use of rooms and meeting spaces, collaborating with representatives of conference groups to identify event and guest needs, and developing conference plans that integrate delivery of University services. This position will offer a competitive salary.
