Assistant Director of Student Activities and Orientation

The Assistant Director of Student Activities and Orientation will work in three separate functional areas; programming, leadership development, and orientation. The role of the Assistant Director is to assist the Director in the planning and implementation of a diverse program of activities and programs that emphasizes student growth and development. This is accomplished through the advisement of The University of Scranton Programming Board (USPB) weekend and series programming, development and coordination of student leadership initiatives, and planning and development of a comprehensive undergraduate orientation program for first-year and transfer students. The minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education or related human development field. In addition, a minimum of two years of post master’s experience in student affairs area is required with preference given for experience in student activities, orientation, and/or leadership development in higher educations. The ability to work non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, and holidays) is essential.
